Question #2 on establishing sensible density limits: Will YOUR ideal candidate answer YES or NO?

Question #2 on establishing sensible density limits:  Will YOUR ideal candidate answer YES or NO?

We are putting 2026 local election candidates on the spot by asking each individual candidate six direct questions Delta residents want answered.  See our attached list of questions.  Starting June 20th, we will reveal how each candidate answers.

About Question #2:

Did you know the current Official Community Plan (OCP) does not contain any limits on how many residential units can be constructed within each of the Tsawwassen, Ladner and North Delta urban centres?  One industry-leading method Delta could use for defining density is a metric called Floor Area Ratio (FAR), which is the ratio of a building’s total floor area to the size of the land on which it is built.  It is used to regulate building density and urban development by balancing the mass of a building with sufficient open space.  No matter how you feel about density and population growth, if you reside in Delta, this election issue impacts YOU.

Stay tuned.  Stay informed.
