DREAM Delta's 2026 Mayoral Candidate Job Interview

What is the first thing that happens when you apply for a job?

You provide a resume detailing your work experience, education background, volunteer and community activities, and more.

Then, if you are narrowed down to the top three you usually get an interview and are asked questions.

Questions like, “What makes you the best candidate for this job?”

So, why should it be any different with our Mayoral candidates?

DREAM Delta is pleased to announce our next initiative to help Delta voters get to know our candidates – a Mayoral Candidate Job Interview!

Today, Friday, July 17th, each of our three candidates for Mayor – Dylan Kruger of One Delta, George Harvie of Achieving For Delta, and Melissa Granum of Delta First – were sent a fillable PDF form to complete, providing their “resume” and to answer three simple questions:

1.         Why do you believe you are the best qualified candidate to serve as Mayor of the City of Delta?

2.         If elected Mayor, how will you ensure that residents who supported other candidates or political organizations continue to feel heard, respected, and represented throughout your term of office?

3.         Municipal government requires collaboration among elected officials with different perspectives. As Mayor, how would you build consensus and foster productive working relationships within Council while ensuring decisions are made in the best interests of all Delta residents?

Submissions are due in two weeks – Noon on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Results will be published via our Blog (https://wearedreamdelta.blogspot.com/) and reposted to our local groups on Facebook (Delta Voices for Responsible Development, North Delta Voices, The Real Tsawwassen LOOP, Ladner Loop, and Delta Votes 2026.

See our Press Release attached which was sent to the Delta Optimist and North Delta Reporter.
